It's the second day here in the office when there are a few of us left since others are out for field work, as for me i will be at the Bellevue Hotel in Alabang this friday to give psychological assessment exams for some of their employees. It's a bit tiring though but still it is a bit refreshing for me to be in a new environment every now and then. Since i'm into clinical psychology, most of the time, i spent most of my working day reading and evaluating client's data and compose a 10-page report to be submitted in courts around the metro. I'm specifically into annulment cases....Yes, it's complicated but why should i complain entertaining marital problems of other couples when they bring me experience aside from money. Hehehe. Most of my friends say that my being single is attributed to the fact that my line of work exposed me to the tiring and rigorous duels between marriage couples, they suggest that it made me fearsome of marriage, but actually i do enjoy my work from time to time, i've learned many things, positive or negative. If given a choice to start another field, i would likely concentrate on making marriages work.
I wanted to try reaching avenues to renew relationships or strengthen them. I'm thinking of going into a business venture where couples or friends could enjoy love through music, food, nature and conversations, even arts and poetry...hehehe. Being a psychologist, it made me more aware of certain ideals to make relationships work but since reality is really cruel at times, i have to sort ways to give this ideas much life as applied to the world as it is now. It may be hard to achieve, but in the end i hope to have its fulfillment in my hands.

The Great BIG SALE
I was at the megamall during the big sale just the weekend and boy i could say that many are not really affected by the global financial crisis since almost everyone had plastic bags full of shopped items. THe crowd is quite disturbing and sickening but hey, Filipinos are known suckers for SALE and DISCOUNTS. Philippines don't have the luxury to worry much about the global market just as long as their whims and caprices are catered by this mall offerings. Pessimism had no room in most Filipino hearts as the "bahala Na" culture is very much evident. How i pray that one of the incoming days, Filipinos would learn to put their innate OPTIMISM into the right avenue to make this country more progressive, it could surely be more beneficial you know.

University Spirit
What could be more disastrous is forgetting the true essence of being in a Christian Community! It is one of the few realizations the brouhaha that transpired during the UAAp Finals and the infamous wood burning that happened during the Blue Eagles Bonfire last week. If you came accross the blog posted by Chrles Tiu, yes Chris Tiu's younger brother, you could see the angst that every Atenista and Lasallista felt on what we could say as very uncivilzed and unChristian in a way. Sports supposed to ignite camarederie and sportsmanship but sad to say the university spirit between the two arch-rivals could really get out of hand at times, knowing they are supposed to be products of the premier universities of genuine Catholic belief.
But nevertheless, come to think of it, each person could not really separate himself from what is real, rather than what is ideal. It was competition after all and they are all set for the win against each other. It's healthy to compete but it could no longer be reputably beneficial if one should step into another's self-esteem in order to win; or if not letting the ther know that he's a loser to his face as if the scoreboards did not show it...it is as if adding insult to injury as how one famous writer puts it.I was there in Araneta to witness every game between the two great teams (i cheered fr the Eagles all the way), it was fun and it really heat me off that i lose my voice every end of the game. What everyone did not anticipate including the players was the bonfire incident. Good thing, the Ateneo community initiated to settle things with La Salle. But sad to say, the heat is still on. This exchange of insults and other mundane matters could last weeks as how my brother and some Jesuit Priests analyzed it. We just hope and pray, that in the end the essence of Christian Love will supremely reign in everyone's heart. after all it is a One Big Fight for the greater Glory of the One True GOD.

Meyer and Midnight Sun
Stephenie Meyer is one of the recently successful novelist in the world, with her TWILIGHT series, every woman wanted to be bitten by Edward and every man wanted to be a Cullen or a Jacob Black for that matter. After the release of her fourth installment of the series, she also announced the postponement of the release of MIDNIGHT SUN, the Twilight in Edward's perspective. Many are dismayed by it. Well, since i'm also hooked up in the story, i am also disappointed. I could not help but wonder on how Edward, representing the male psyche though a vampire, could deal with her emotions for Bella. Petitions among fans were passed around the internet and boy it really did come out out o proportions though no word from Meyer came in, whether she would give in to the request of her adoring fans. I just hope that Meyer could make the affirmative response to the fans...

WORK
My colleague at work just came back from months of hibernation. Actually, as for me, since i've been working in this clinic for almost 10 years now, i think it's getting lousier and less exciting...it's mainly routinary and boring. There were times i thought of changing jobs and even applied and work in other companies and the seminary and church as well but still i end up staying here for a longer time. As of now, i'm contemplating of improving my skills in the kitchen. I want to enroll in a culinary school. At my age, i was thinking of having my own business at my hometown in Butuan City. As much as i enjoy the fast paced life here in the metro, i have to look after my parents and my nephews and nieces, since my parents are not getting any younger. Well, i really didn't know, i just prayed over my choices and God's will.
